Austria and a side trip to London

After 6 weeks of travelling I finally manage to post here – sorry for letting you wait so long. I am in the Durmitor National Park in Montenegro now, but let me tell you from the beginning:

I left Germany with my good friend Didi on the night of May 10 to go to Gröbming in Austria. After a very relaxed birthday and an awesome 2-people-bbq I climbed the Kammspitze, which I had planned to do for a few years. We went up on the south face and down on the north face, unfortunately we couldn’t see all the snow before, so we had wet feed most of the way back.

After a day of resting, we flew from Salzburg to London and spent a frew days there visiting our friend Chris. One evening we went to the Inamo restaurant in Soho. They serve a very good fusion of Thai and Japanese cuisine, but what makes this place so different from all the other restaurants is that you sit at an interactive table where you can change the projected table cloth, view the kitchen through a camera and order your food. Once you select a dish, it is projected on your plate to see what it will look like. Defenitely a place worth going to in London.

From Gröbming I hitchhiked to Graz. It took me three lifts for the first 30 kilometres but I never had to wait long and from Liezen I caught a ride going all the way dropping me off directly in front of my first couchsurfing host. In Graz I met a lot of wonderful people. Thanks to all Lisa and Daniel, Sonja, all the people from the Spektral and everyone showing up for the demo on Sunday – I had a great weekend.

On Monday I went to Vienna and had luck getting a ride all the way to the airport after waiting just over 20 minutes.  Vienna is mostly horses and nice buildings, but also a lot of parks that are just so much better than sightseeing in this weather. Thanks to my hosts and friends Manuel, Sophie, Julia, July, Mike and Daniel
